He studied Aerospace Engineering at the\u00a0University of Stuttgart with focus on systems, control,\u00a0and information technologies, and obtained his M.Sc.\u00a0degree in 2020. After an initial exchange semester, he\u00a0returned to EPFL for his master\u2019s project on Airborne\u00a0Wind Energy. With Nonlinear Model Predictive Control, the system shall then be\u00a0controlled at a maximum safe performance given the achieved\u00a0identification certainty. For the test case of a small fixed-wing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, the vision is to take off without prior\u00a0aerodynamic\u00a0identification, perform autonomous identification by flying suitable maneuvers, and finally\u00a0execute acrobatic figures\u00a0close to the limits of the system.
